Uluwatu Temple & GWK
On this almost full day program you will visit a new iconic landmark seen from many places in Bali called Garuda Wisnu Kencana or just short GWK. It is a 121 meter towering statue dedicated to the Hindu God of Vishnu and his mount, the mythical bird Garuda. It took twenty-eight years and around $100 million to build the statue. We will walk you through the park just before we continue the journey further south to enjoy a magnificent sunset at Uluwatu temple. A must see cultural experience at probably the most scenic and magical spots which the coast line of south Bali has to offer. The beautiful Uluwatu Cliff where the temple is located is also home to one of the six most sacred Balinese temples as well as a lively monkey population. Therefore please be beware of your belongings. Within the temple complex is an amphitheater where during the beautiful sunset hour the spectacular Kecak or Fire Dance is performed.
