Gudauri
Gudauri is a freshly formed ski resort in Georgia at a height of 2,196 meters above sea level and a well-developed infrastructure. Around the resort, there are numerous off-piste descents for freeride - descents along unprepared slopes - and backcountry (skitour) - climbing to summits without the use of motorized means of lifting (cable cars, etc.)
Gudauri is accessible all year, however the ski season starts in the second half of December and lasts until May. Driving from Tbilisi to Gudauri takes roughly 2 hours (120 kilometers).
