Yerevan

Yerevan is the capital and largest city of Armenia in terms of population and area, as well as one of the worlds oldest cities, 29 years older than Rome. The city has a total area of 223 km2. Yerevan is the countrys political, economic, cultural, and scientific capital, as well as its most major transportation hub; the city is served by two airports, a subway, and a railway station. Not far from the city is Zvartnots, Europes oldest temple, which dates back 13 centuries.
