Everyone who comes to Saint Petersburg is looking forward to meet Tsarskoye Selo (now- Pushkin!) And the Catherine Palace is one of those places where the magnificent 18th century still lives. The famous Amber Room is located in this palace. The palace is surrounded by the magnificent Catherine Park, which is beautiful at any time of the year.

In the shady alleys of the Imperial Park and the royal premises of the Catherine Palace you will be able to feel yourself a delicate lady-in-waiting or a gallant knight.

It is one of the best examples of the Russian Baroque now. A large hall, measuring 850 sq. m, was built without a single column, and because of the mirrors reflecting the windows and the air-painted plafond, it seemed that the huge hall had no walls or ceiling. The main pearl of the palace is the famous Amber Room, Amber walls with a rich range of shades from lemon and honey to dark yellow shock the imagination of thousands of tourists.

The palace is sticking with richness of interior and exterior decorations, a collection of paintings and an abundance of gold, carvings and paintings.

After the excursion to the palace, you can walk around the magnificent park surrounding the palace by yourself. It is decorated with fine pavilions, bizarre ponds and numerous monuments in honor of victories of Russian weapons during the Russian-Turkish wars.
