Sagalassoss

Sagalassos, an ancient city located on the slopes of the Western Taurus Mountain range, is one of Southwestern Turkey's most spectacular archaeological monuments. The remaining ruins are beautifully preserved and easily accessible as a result of recent, substantial archaeological projects. A vast Roman bath, an urban mansion, a massive theatre, a colonnaded street, and numerous temples and churches are among the most notable structures. Most striking is the Antonine Nymphaeum, a functioning Roman fountain located at one end of the Upper Agora and one of the best-preserved Roman fountains.
